The new season of “America’s Got Talent” will be its most dangerous yet, promises judge Howie Mandel.
“We’ve had some near-death experiences,” Mandel said of auditions for the series, which will air this summer on NBC. “I don’t know if NBC will air them.”
Mandel declined to say what kinds of performers were engaging in risky behavior. But producers have said that many performers have talents beyond dancing and singing.
Back to judge along with Mandel are Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan. Nick Cannon returns as the host.
Even though she praised many of the performers on the series, Osborne, who manages rocker husband Ozzy Osborne, bristled when asked if she would ever consider managing any of the performers.
“If Jesus Christ came back and decided he wanted to sing, I wouldn’t manage him,” she said. “If you make it, it’s all because of the artist. If you don’t, it’s the manager’s fault.”
