Amanda Clayton, pictured above with her million dollar lottery check, hit it big when she ‘played the numbers’ back in September 2011.
Clayton, a 24-year-old single mother of two, may have won $1 million in the Michigan state lottery, but she still receives $200 a month in food stamps!
It wasn’t long before someone snitched, and acting on a tip, Local 4 news in Detroit confronted Clayton about it and she attempted to explain, stating:
I thought that they would cut me off, but since they didn’t, I thought maybe it was OK because I’m not working.
Asked by Local 4 asked if she felt she had a right to the money, Clayton responded, “I mean I kinda do.”
