SAN JOSE, Calif. (KABC) — Some Starbucks locations in Northern California are checking their bottled beverages after a poison attempt in San Jose.
The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. at the Starbucks on the 6000 block of Snell Avenue.
A woman, identified by investigators as Ramineh Behbehanian, is accused of leaving two tainted bottles of orange juice for customers to buy. Police say customers saw the woman putting the bottles in the Starbucks cold section.
Tests showed one bottle contained rubbing alcohol and the other had acetone, according to investigators.
No one drank the tainted juice. The woman fled the scene, but police later tracked her down and arrested her at her home.
