Two women who vanished about a decade ago when they were teenagers were miraculously found alive Monday inside a home in Cleveland, along with a third missing woman, authorities said.
Amanda Berry, who was missing for a decade and is now 27, and Gina DeJesus, who disappeared nine years ago and is now 23, were rescued after a neighbor heard Berry’s pleas for help coming from inside the home.
Gina DeJesus went missing at age 14 on April 2, 2004 after heading home from school.
“She says, ‘Call 911! My name is Amanda Berry!’” Ramsey recalled.
He said a young girl, who appeared to be about 5 years old, was with Berry and that there were other children in the house.
