Detectives on the hunt for two fugitive gangsters earlier this month turned to Facebook for clues.

That’s where they say they hit the jackpot: Photos of Mario Daniel McDonald and Joseph Wayne Edwards each holding a shotgun.

McDonald, 23, and Edwards, 27, are prohibited from possessing firearms because they are convicted felons, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Tuesday.

“Both suspects had gang-related photographs on Facebook. McDonald and Edwards are reportedly members of the Crazy White Boys Criminal Street Gang,” the sheriff’s office said.

They were arrested Monday.

“The still images attached to these Facebook accounts promote and further the interests of the criminal street gang,” Capt. James Pogue, spokesman for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, said in a tatement.

Both were charged with criminal street-gang activity and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon convicted felon.

Edwards was also charged with grand theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
