The network issued a statement Today saying, “Black Jesus is a satire and one interpretation of the message of Jesus played out in modern day morality tales; and despite what some may consider a controversial depiction of Jesus, it is not the intent to offend any race or people of faith.”

  1. Joe Franklin why are you leaving? I’m just asking questions? I do believe when the Passion of the Christ came out Jesus was white or looked white and people still had problems with the movie. some boycotted it, some said Jesus wasn’t like that also

  2. Because there ARE people raining down fire and brimstone on this show.. not saying its going on in here but there is some unfair judgement and saying someone is hellbound is wrong… no one has the right nor call to say so…i was generalizing the WHOLE argument about the show.. not limited to these posts because I havent seen any THAT crazy…..yet

  3. Joe Franklin so why the others can’t have an observation of what they saw compared to what they read in Gods word. why can YOU say they are judging and yours is just observation?

  4. i meant FINAL judgement… saying someone is hellbound and all that…calling out sins against God… all that… FINAL JUDGEMENT is Gods.. calling someone uptight is an observation.

  5. truthfully Christian Jackson, i agree with what the people said. there ARE bigger fish to fry out here than getting upset over artistic freedom and personal representation… we are on the verge of World War, endemics, and genocide out here and a T.V show being canceled wont stop whats going on
