The network issued a statement Today saying, “Black Jesus is a satire and one interpretation of the message of Jesus played out in modern day morality tales; and despite what some may consider a controversial depiction of Jesus, it is not the intent to offend any race or people of faith.”

  1. all I’m saying is that the little iv’e watched of it there is some message… if Jesus actually talked back to people that asked for selfish stuff like the lotto numbers he would tell them we have real things out here and youre asking about lotto numbers

  2. And I’m making my voice heard where I can. Helping where I can. The easiest thing I could have done was sign the petition instead just complaining about it. I looked for it. I do the same for our innocent people being sent to jail or to send a crooked cop to jail for putting a man in a Choke Hold for no reason. If there is something I can can do about us on the verge of going to war or the genocide out there pls let me know. This rgt here is where I know my signature means something. Because I don’t have the frying pan nor the grease to fry the fish of war…

  3. Joe Franklin whose to determine if this isn’t the big fish or not? My point is start somewhere. There are jus something’s that u shouldn’t play with and this is one of them. It infuriates me more that it’s My people. That energy couldn’t have been put into something positive. Ok they makin money u say, let them live, so basically go where the money is huh? People are to quick to sell their souls for a dollar. What I Do agree with u is there being a message in it somewhere. I Do agree that him being that setting could help someone. Turning water into Henny, saying he wanna hit that & turning pointing at a grill to bring fire to light his *black, I’m sry is not the way to do it. Most people can’t get past the comedy to even look that deep into it and u know it…. Why do u think the majority of communication sent out in America was at 5th grade level. Common sense isn’t common and this does more harm than good.

  4. Joe Franklin I also thought that maybe it would be a comedy with a message but when the guy in the beginning asked Jesus for the lottery numbers and Jesus got mad and cussed him out and told him he stinks?? I must don’t think this is something I can agree with plus if Jesus was for EVERYBODY then I should be able to sit down with a child and watch this show even with a little comedy in it but everyone don’t have to agree with me.
