The footage of the killing leaves little room for understanding as to why Sterling, 37, was shot and killed in front of a store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. According to The Advocate, allegedly an anonymous call was placed to authorities about a man who was selling CDs outside of the Triple S Food Mart who pointed a gun at someone telling them to leave the property. When officials arrived, the man in question was Alton Sterling, a distributor that had sold CDs and DVDs in front of the store for years. No one is exactly sure what happened between the time the officers arrived and when the video footage began, but all witnesses agree that the officers were aggressive with Sterling upon arrival, as Sterling just wanted to understand what he was being detained for. “They were really aggressive with him from the start,” Abdullah Muflahi, the store owner said.

  1. I know people will read this and be upset. But 1st things 1st LIVE to fight the injustice. Cops are given positions of authority, the authority must be respected. No matter how many dirty ones wear a badge. When they make a request, put pride (or whatever it is to the side, because we know THIS ending all too well), do what they ask of you…Do what you need to do, to make it home. I’d rather bail you out than bury you. (Saddened that this will be apart of many conversations I’ll have with my children, especially my son). Here, at this point, what can we really do? Even if “justice is served,” there is no recourse for the life lost!

  2. I wish I had an answer! It’s seems like when cops murder black people, they either don’t prosecute, or if they due prosecute they are usually found not guilty!

  3. I’m really at a loss…we keep talking about it, and stars are speaking out about it, we protest, we riot, presidents speak, yet it still happens…i really believe genocide may be a plan cookin up…somebody name one thing we haven’t tried….i mean the police go to jail so what? He won’t be in regular population he ain’t getting the death penalty and don’t believe life on the inside would be that hard for a cop that killed a brother….i jus don’t know bout this

    1. I understand bruh…I do…..if we aren’t friends….lets be friends and work on solutions together. I am working on local, national and international solutions to do my part, but we have to work together to bring about change my brother.

  4. It’s time for everyone in the country to rise up from the communities in every city and state of the United States and make demands, elect officials that will support change and to work together in our communities. Contact every government official and news media on a local, national and international scale. Stop supporting businesses and organizations that support this kind of behavior in the country.

  5. I mean this in most respectful manner ,but he had a gum on him and was reaching for it. Maybe he was going to toss it, but that would mean he now broken 3 laws. 1) having the gun. 2) resisting arrest 3) attempting to conceal evidence. The theme is simple . Do not break the law and I can promise you , this will never happen.

    1. Where did you see him reach for a gun?! You are still assuming…LOL you must have vision to see through bodies. He could have been doing a number of things.

    2. Well than you and I are on even ground. I clearly see him reaching a second time AFTER he was told not to. This man was convicted felon with a firearm in his pocket….clearly resisting arrest. How does anyone turn this into something other than that ? Show me a video of this happening to a law abiding citizen following protocol and I’d be in a uproar.

    3. Im not judging him !! Not at all. Just trying to make sense of it. The cops are called to a scene where they know a convicted felon is carrying a gun. At some point he is non compliant which was how they ended up on the ground. I mean, you have a gun in your pocket, you’re a known convicted felon, and you’re resisting arrest ? This was a bad combination all around. If I was him, I would have placed my hands behind my back and dropped to me knees and calmly let them handcuff me.

    4. I hate when people say ” that he shouldn’t of broken the law and it would’ve happened” So because he broke the law that gives the police the right to kill him? And why did he have to shoot him more than once?
