Actress Octavia Spencer is teaming up with basketball ace LeBron James to bring the story of America’s first black millionaire to the small screen.

Earlier this year, the “Hidden Figures” star said she was preparing to head back to the 1920s to play Madam C.J. Walker, who built a beauty empire after discovering a groundbreaking new hair care formula for black women.

At the time, the project was envisioned as a movie, but now it’s being made as a limited TV series, and officials at LeBron’s SpringHill Entertainment production company will be developing the show.

“I am really proud of this project and that SpringHill will be partnering with Octavia to tell this important story,” LeBron James said. “Every American should all know the story of Madam C.J. Walker. She was an innovator, entrepreneur, social activist, and total game changer whose story has been left out of the history books. I hope this project lives up to her legacy with a story that will educate and inspire.”The
