EXPEND4BLES IN THEATERS SEPTEMBER 22 

A new generation of stars join the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in Expend4bles. Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are joined for the first time by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia. Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.

38TH ANNUAL STELLAR GOSPEL MUSIC AWARDS

The highly anticipated 38th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, the “Greatest Night in Gospel Music,” culminated in a spectacular celebration of talent, faith, and inspiration. Hosted by Jonathan McReynolds and Tasha Cobbs Leonard, the 2023 Stellar Awards captivated audiences with powerhouse performances and heartfelt moments that brought the power of Gospel music to life. During a star-studded ceremony held at the Las Vegas Orleans Arena, the winners in nine categories were awarded statues, highlighting the remarkable achievements and contributions of Gospel music artists and industry professionals.

The show opened with anelectrifying performance of “Miracles” and “Impossible” by Kierra Sheard Kelly and Pastor Mike Jr., the night’s biggest winner. Pastor Mike, Jr. earned eight awards for his work on the album “Winning,” released under Blacksmoke Music Worldwide. The project was named Album of the Year and Contemporary Album of the Year, while Pastor Mike, Jr. also took home the prestigious Song of the Year Presented by McDonald’s, Artist of the Year Presented by AT&T Dream In BlackMale Artist of the YearContemporary Male Artist of the YearMusic Video of the Year, and Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year awards. 

PHYLICIA RASHAD, SHANNON WALLACE, AND JON CHAFFIN JOIN “DIARRA FROM DETROIT”

BET+ announced today that Phylicia Rashad, Shannon Wallace (City on a Hill), and Jon Chaffin (Perry Mason, BMF) have joined the cast of its upcoming series “DIARRA FROM DETROIT.” 

They join the series alongside previously announced cast members Diarra Kilpatrick (Perry Mason)Morris Chestnut (Best Man, Final Chapters), DomiNque Perry (Insecure, Rap Sh*t), Claudia Logan (Harlem), and Bryan Terrell Clark (When They See Us)

“DIARRA FROM DETROIT” follows a divorcing schoolteacher who refuses to believe she’s been ghosted by her rebound Tinder date. Her search for the missing man pulls her into a decades-old mystery involving the Detroit underworld. As the case unfolds, her co-workers, friends, and lovers become unlikely allies as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole.
