TV ONE’S NEW DOCU-SERIES “RAISING FAME” FEATURING FANTASIA

Popular docu-series “Raising Fame” takes center stage this Sunday, August 4, at 10 PM ET / 9 PM C on TV One. Hosted by celebrity moms Lucille O’Neal (mom of Shaquille O’Neal) and Sonya Curry (mom of Stephen, Seth, and Sydel Curry),.

“Raising Fame” delves beyond the glitz and glamour to provide a unique perspective in the words of both the parents and celebrated children themselves. Winning American Idol at just 19-year-old marked the beginning of a grueling road to stardom for award-winning singer/actress Fantasia Barrino. She credits her mom with helping her overcome the obstacles and turning her into the accomplished woman she is today.

This season also includes an impressive lineup of award-winning athletes, musicians, actors, and their families including Usher, Shaquille O’Neal, John Legend, Jon Batiste, Kevin Durant, the late Chadwick Boseman, and more. 

From heartwarming anecdotes to candid conversations, “Raising Fame” will give viewers a deeper understanding of the dedication, sacrifice, and love that contributed to the success of these remarkable individuals in their rise to fame.
