Kanye West Settles Sample Lawsuit
Kanye West has settled the lawsuit regarding the sample he used on his Yeezus track “Bound 2,” Billboard reports. The paperwork was filed to the courts on May 11th that brought the suit to an end.
Ricky Spicer, the former soul singer of The Ponderosa Twins Plus One, has sued West, Universal Music Group, Def Jam and Roc-A-Fella Records in 2013 for using his vocals on the chorus of the song without his permission. Spicer said he was also not given any compensation.
On the track, Spicer can be heard singing “Bound, bound / Bound to fall in love.”
