The IRS says it has stopped accepting electronically filed tax returns because of problems with some of its computer systems. The outage could affect refunds, but the IRS says it doesn’t anticipate “major disruptions.”

This is happening because of all of the fake returns being filed

Agree. Then yesterday i get a letter from the state. I have to prove who i am or i wont get my state money
It suppose to not interfere with returns already filed just not able to efile any new returns or get identity pins
I am a Tax Preparer and Im not surprised.
