Black excellence was honored and celebrated by BET Networks at the taping of “THE BET HONORS” from the historic Warner Theatre. Hosted by comedian and actor Arsenio Hall, the star-studded evening celebrating black excellence honored Lee Daniels (Television and Film Award), Mellody Hobson (Corporate Citizen Award), Eric H. Holder, Jr. (Public Service Award), Patti Labelle (Musical Arts Awards), and L.A. Reid (The Business of Entertainment Award). “THE BET HONORS” premieres on Monday, March 14 at 8 PM ET/PT.
The celebrity-packed night was filled with riveting performance and unforgettable special moments by musical performances by Toni Braxton, Babyface, Usher, Monica, Eddie Levert, Fantasia, Jussie Smollett, The Deele and Raheem DeVaughn. The show featured special appearances by Terrence Howard, Gabourey Sibide, Janelle Monae, Mack Wilds and Melissa Harris Perry.
