ABOUT FIGHT NIGHT: THE MILLION DOLLAR HEIST

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, based on the acclaimed iHeart true-crime podcast, follows the infamous story of how an armed robbery on the night of Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight changed not only one man’s life but ultimately transformed Atlanta into the “Black Mecca.” When a hustler named Chicken Man (Kevin Hart) hosts an afterparty to celebrate the fight with a guest list of the country’s wealthiest, the night ends with the most brazen criminal underworld heist in Atlanta’s history. Suspected of masterminding the crime, Chicken Man is hellbent on clearing his name but must convince his old adversary, J.D. Hudson (Don Cheadle), one of the first Black detectives in the city’s desegregated police force, who is tasked with bringing those responsible to justice.

FUBU to Relaunch Iconic Brand During Atlanta Fashion Week 2024

The iconic brand FUBU, The Collection renowned for its “For Us, By Us” ethos, is set to make its stateside return at Atlanta Fashion Week 2024. Featuring its Fall 2025 menswear and suits collections, FUBU will take center stage with a full runway presentation on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 8 PM.

The runway show on October 4th will feature FUBU’s reimagined classic pieces, infusing fresh energy and style into their 2024-25 collections and a special appearance by FUBUsuits. “We’re thrilled to share our new vision with the world,” said Carl Brown, President, and co-founder of FUBU, The Collection and hotelFUBU. “This collaboration with Atlanta Fashion Week marks a significant milestone for FUBU, bridging our iconic past with a vibrant future in fashion and beyond.”said Cecily Groves, VP of Brand Management and Licensing at FUBU and co-founder of hotelFUBU.

In addition to the highly anticipated runway show, FUBU will host a two-week FUBU ARCHIVE Art Gallery exhibit at Buckhead Art & Co. from October 7 to October 21, 2024. Curated by Team FUBU and Trap Music Museum, this exhibit will celebrate the brand’s rich history and its innovative future, launching at the pinnacle of Atlanta Fashion Week.

The Paley Center for Media Announces Tyler Perry as The Paley Honors Award Honoree

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will honor the visionary Actor, Writer, Director, Producer, Studio Owner, and Philanthropist Tyler Perry at its highly anticipated fall gala in Los Angeles, The Paley Honors. This once-in-a-lifetime celebration of Tyler Perry’s remarkable and enduring career will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 6:30 pm at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

As one of the most inspiring, versatile, prolific, and innovative creatives working in media today, Tyler Perry has utilized the power of his bold and original storytelling to break barriers, dispel negative stereotypes, educate audiences, and bring people together. Tyler started out writing plays, many of which became the inspiration for his films, and has since gone on to create an endless array of bold characters, relatable stories, and blockbuster franchises across the media landscape, including the legendary and unforgettable “Madea.” Over the course of his storied career, he has produced over 2,000 episodes of television, and directed, written, and produced 28 feature films.

Tyler’s presence as a creative force is only equaled by his standing as a visionary business leader and philanthropist. In 2019, he celebrated the historic opening of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta—a beacon within the community and the media industry overall.

ANGELS FALLEN: WARRIORS OF PEACE

Uncork’d Entertainment is releasing the action thriller ANGELS FALLEN: WARRIORS OF PEACE On Digital and On Demand July 9. 

The film is a sequel to the 2020 action horror Angels Fallen and stars Denise Richards (Starship Troopers), Josh Burdett (Loving Vincent), Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire), and UFC legend Randy Couture (The Expendables).

ANGELS FALLEN: WARRIORS OF PEACE follows an Iraq War veteran called by a higher power, who embarks on a mission to stop a fallen angel from raising an army of the dead to take over the world. 

Director Ali Zamani, known for his work on the first installment and the horror thriller Incision, helmed the next chapter of the franchise. Featuring robust VFX and exhilarating action sequences, the film is set to captivate fans of both genre and superhero films.

Official Synopsis: Haunted by the war in Iraq, a depressed and faithless Gabriel is approached by the mysterious Balthazar, who recruits Gabriel to stop the evil Archangel Michael from raising an army of the dead to take over the world. With the help of his old platoon, Gabriel sets off to find the Warriors of Peace, their only hope in defeating Michael and his army.
