Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the Orange County D.A. made the motion to dismiss the charges. The judge agreed. Presumably the motion was based on new evidence, but TMZ has learned, authorities were well aware early on … this case didn’t hold water.

I don’t know if any prisons are already doing this but I’m talking to my homies about FaceTime with people in prison and the pros and cons that might help or hurt it it was available to inmates. I think it would be great for kids to see parents that are locked up and it could help in the rehabilitation process. What do you think?????

Two of NY’s biggest Hip Hop representatives have now stepped up to lobby New York’s governor Andrew Cuomo to reform the state’s criminal justice system.
Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Russell Simmons met with Gov. Cuomo on Wednesday. The governor’s office described the meeting as “a productive conversation” that included a discussion about assigning special prosecutors to handle criminal cases involving police officers. Many observers have criticized the idea of regular state prosecutors investigating the police, because the district attorney’s office and the local police departments work so closely together.

Ray J’s ex-girlfriend who threatened suicide Wednesday was pushed over the edge after she found out Ray was nuzzling up to the modern day Helen of Troy … Karrueche Tran.
Cops were called after Princess Love called Ray and threatened to shoot herself. A short time later she called him back and said she would not go through with it.
As we reported … Ray broke up with Princess Love Tuesday night after a big fight. Now we know where he went afterward.
Ray went to a studio to shoot a New Year’s Eve special for BET. Karrueche was also on the show and Ray hung out with her until 4 AM. We got a couple of pics which show they were definitely getting along.
