NBA Legends Tracy McGrady and Jalen Rose will return to Qatar this week to experience the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ live and in person. Rose will also join David Jacoby in Doha to film episodes of their popular podcast and television program Jalen & Jacoby. Interviews from the World Cup will air on Jalen & Jacoby during the week of Dec. 5.

This is a return trip to Doha for McGrady, Rose, and Jacoby. The trio met U.S. Military personnel one year ago at the Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, which serves as a primary logistics and command hub for U.S. operations in the Middle East. They also visited school-aged Qatari children and university students from Qatar’s Education City, learning more about the country’s efforts to partner with the top global universities and continue to be at the forefront of education.

“Tracy, Jacoby, and I got a chance to visit Doha about a year ago to see the preparations for the largest sporting event of the year,” said Jalen Rose. “I couldn’t wait to come back to Qatar and experience the World Cup for myself. All eyes are on Qatar right now and I’m thrilled to see it all come together in one of the most beautiful countries.”

“This is my third trip to Qatar and I’m grateful to be back,” said Tracy McGrady. “Every time I’m here, my family and I have been made to feel at home and the people have been incredibly welcoming. Even after the World Cup ends, I hope to come back again soon and continue to experience this part of the world.”

The trip was organized by the U.S.-based event management company, Blink.
