After Kendrick dropped his album, then Dr. Dre dropped #Compton then the movie doing 100 million after just 2 weeks….. This album will add to my cities continuous legacy !!!! I’m proud to be from #COMPTON & I wish #EazyE was alive to see us flourish yet again…… We on !!! This album cover represents the struggle to stay alive in a city where CRIPS & BLOODS have been at war since 1972 & it’s because of you “THE FANS” I will again get to give you my documented accounts of life here in Los Angeles …. Two Television journalists fatally shot in on-air attack

Reuters) – Two television journalists were shot and killed in Virginia on Wednesday morning while conducting a live television interview, their station, WDBJ7 said.
The incident occurred during a live broadcast in Bedford County, when shots could be heard, sending the reporter and her source screaming and ducking for cover.
The station said that journalists Alison Parker and Adam Ward died in the incident.

“I’m super excited to be co-hosting the 46th Annual GMA Dove Awards this year,” Erica Campbell says. “It’s going to be an amazing night especially since I get to stand next to the lovely Sadie Robertson as co-host! I truly believe we are better together! I believe God smiles when we stand united for His Glory!” 

“I’m so excited to host this years Dove Awards,” Sadie Robertson says. “It is a true honor to be able to share the stage with Erica Campbell, and it’s going to be a great night. I am really looking forward to it!”  

  
Campbell recalls one of her fondest Dove Awards memories as she prepares for her hosting spotlight. “I remember my first Dove Awards performance with gospel legend Kirk Franklin at the Grand Ole Opry! Tina (of Mary Mary) and I were so nervous and excited! But the audience praised God with us as we sang Shackles! Our outfits were terrible but the night was amazing!”

“Straight Outta Compton” Leads Box Office For a Second Week

Straight Outta Compton” easily maintained its box-office lead with an estimated $26.8 million in ticket sales over a sleepy late summer weekend at North American multiplexes, according to studio estimates Sunday.
Universal’s N.W.A biopic, a much buzzed-about hit, dominated over the late August releases that often characterize Hollywood’s dog days of summer. It has now made $111.5 million in two weeks.

For the third consecutive year, charismatic actor/comedian Cedric The Entertainer (“The Soul Man”) hosted his star-studded celebrity golf classic at the luxurious Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo Monday.
Sponsored by Zacapa Rum, YP (Yellow Pages), and Xerox proceeds from the event benefit The Kyles Family Foundation, The Brotherhood Crusade of Los Angeles and The Boys and Girls Club of Camarillo. The celebrity guests donating their time for a great cause included host Cedric The Entertainer, Jim Brown, George Lopez, Rob Riggle, Frank Robinson, Marcus Allen, Richard Roundtree, Jim Plunkett, Ty Law, Boris Kojoe, Sugar Ray Leonard, Eric Dickerson, Royce Clayton, Kathleen Bradley, Flex Alexander, and Seema Sadekar to list only a few.

ATLANTA HOSTS THE RED CARPET PREMIERE OF ‘SURVIVOR’S REMORSE’ SEASON 2 PRESENTED BY STARZ & XFINITY

Last night, STARZ® and XFINITY® hosted a red carpet premiere for the second season of the hit show “Survivor’s Remorse” at Regal Cinemas Atlantic Station in Atlanta. Cast in attendance included Tichina Arnold, Mike Epps, RonReaco Lee, Erica Ash, Teyonah Parris and Allen Maldonado along with show creator Mike O’Malley and executive producers Victor Levin, Hilton Smith, associate producer Dianne Ashford and STARZ manager, original programming Patrick McDonald. Special guests included actor/singer Jacob Latimore (who appeared in Season 1 of “Survivor’s Remorse”), HGTV host Egypt Sherrod, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” personalities Claudia Jordan and Demetria McKinney, HLN anchors Melissa Knowles and Yasmin Vossoughian, visual artist Fahamu Pecou and HLN sports correspondent Brian McFayden. JARED FOGLE CHARGED WITH SOLICITING SEX WITH MINORS

Jared Fogle was just charged with “travel to engage in elicit sexual conduct with minors.”
Up to now, the only information in the case was that he allegedly possessed child porn, but the case is far more serious. According to the complaint, between 2010 and 2013, Fogle traveled between Indiana and NYC to engage in sexual acts with minors. The complaint says Fogle paid for sex.
The complaint says in text messages with one of the 14 minor victims, Fogle said he would accept a 16-year-old girl while stating that “the younger the girl, the better.”

Bishop T.D. Jakes Wants To Make It Clear that He is Against Same Sex Marriage

“I simply meant that my method is evolving — not my message,” he said. “I was shocked to read that this was manipulated in a subsequent article to say I endorsed same-sex marriage! My position on the subject has been steadfast and rooted in Scripture. For the record, I do not endorse same-sex marriage, but I respect the rights that this country affords those that disagree with me.”

  

My comment on HuffPo TV drifted into issues of the Supreme Court ruling and changing the world through public policy [versus] personal witness,” he said. “Further, I have come to respect that I can’t force my beliefs on others by controlling public policy for taxpayers and other U.S. citizens. Jesus never sought to change the world through public policy but rather through personal transformation. All people didn’t embrace Him either. That’s what I said and what I meant… Nothing more and nothing less.
Continuing along with his statement, he harshly criticized the Huffington Post, calling them a “so-called Christian publication” that “misconstrued” his words “using lazy journalistic tactics to further their own agenda.” After urging his supporters to “investigate” before believing what they read, he clearly outlined his stance.

Lecrae Leads Dove Awards With 7 Nominations

The Dove AWARDS Will  BE HELD LIVE TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th AT LIPSCOMB UNIVERSITY AND WILL AIR GLOBALLY ON THE TRINITY BROADCASTING NETWORK SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18th CELEBRATING “BETTER TOGETHER”.

  
The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced today, from the campus of Lipscomb University, the nominees in 41 categories for the 46th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The theme of this year’s award show is “Better Together” which focuses on the strength in unity. The conference was also streamed live on CMM MAGAZINE and YES Lord Radio. The awards show will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN at 6:30pm CT. Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will exclusively air the awards show on Sunday, October 18 on the network’s global stage reaching over 100 million homes in the US, plus global and multi-platform distribution. Voting for the final winners will run August 20 through August 27. The “Song of the Year” and “Songwriter of the Year” categories will be made in a special announcement in the coming weeks. 

Lecrae leads all nominations with 7, followed by for KING & COUNTRY with 5. Crowder, Matt Maher and Chris Tomlin tally 4 nods each.

Dr. Dre Donating Album Royalties to Arts Center in Compton

Dr. Dre announced that he will be donating all of his artist royalties earned from Compton, the pioneering gangsta rapper-producer’s long-awaited new album, to help fund a new performing arts and entertainment facility in Compton. The news was announced today on Beats 1 radio DJ Zane Lowe’s program.

  

“I feel it’s the right thing to do and I hope everybody appreciates the work I put into this album,” Dre said. The mogul revealed that he’ll be working with Compton Mayor Aja Brown and her office on the center. “We’ve reached out to Aja Brown quite a few times in the last month or two,” Dre said. “I’ve been really trying to do something special for Compton and just couldn’t quite figure out what it was. She actually had this idea and she was already in the process of working on it. I said, ‘Boom, this is what we should do.'”

Cameron Penny On Set with Bounce Tv’s “In The Cut”

 Kingsmen Media was invited on set to watch the taping of Bounce Tvs new show In The Cut which centers on Jay Weaver ( Dorien Wilson The Parkers) and Kenny Clark (Ken Lawson The Parkers) this time they reunite as father and son. Based in San Diego Dorien runs a barbershop were his newly divorced son Ken is dealing with some personal issues. Jay brings Ken in to live with him and help him run the shop. 

  
With a great cast of familiar talent from John Marshall Jones (Smart Guy) as Jays hilarious sidekick and his ex wife played by Jackee Harry (Sister Sister). The chemistry between everyone was like one big family. Other cast members include comedic actress Laura Hayes and Chasity Dotson (Single Ladies) also a guest appearance from comedian Michael Blackson. In The Cut is executive produced by show runner Bentley Kyle Evans (Martin Jaime Foxx) Trenten Gumbs III and Ri-Karlo Handy and will air on Bounce Tv August 25

50 Cent’s Finances Revealed In Bankruptcy Case

According to a bankruptcy documents, 50 cent spends $108,000 a month and has a monthly income of $185,000, Billboard reports. His income is mainly from interest from investments and royalties.
His expenses cost a pretty penny as well. The Southpaw star reportedly spends $72,000 a month to maintain his Connecticut mansion, which was once home to Mike Tyson. The documents also say that Fif owes money to his fitness coach, stylist and barber.

Jay Z Sued for $20Million

According to The New York Daily News, Star Boxing’s Joe DeGuardia and Banner Promotions’ Artie Pelullo filed a suit last week in New York State Supreme court. DeGuardia and Pelullo claim Roc Nation attempted to steal boxer Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade away from them.
The complaint suggests Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports offered Andrade $550,000 to reject a fight DeGuardia and Pelullo negotiated with Showtime. Roc Nation then planned to buy out his contract and become his new promoter, according to the suit.
Andrade pulled out of the Showtime deal, but Roc Nation is being accused of not paying Andrade the $550,000. The lawsuit also claims R.N. never bought out Andrade’s contract from DeGuardia and Pelullo.
“Roc Nation’s promise to Andrade was made under false pretenses, namely, that Roc Nation was negotiating to purchase Andrade’s contract from the promoters and thereafter would negotiate a more lucrative bout for Andrade on HBO,” states the lawsuit. “Ultimately, Andrade agreed to Roc Nation’s false inducements and spurned the professional boxing match the promoters had negotiated with Showtime.”
Andrade is the former World Boxing Organization light middleweight champion. His record currently stands at 21-0, 14 KOs. The Rhode Island native has not fought since June of 2014, and the WBO stripped him of his title for inactivity.

Andre 3000 Will Co-Star In The Second Season Of ‘American Crime’

Andre 3000, who worked with Ridley in the Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side, will play an architect named Michael Lacroix. He’s well-respected and smart, but is he smart enough to defend his son from the crime he’s accused of?

Ridley is more excited about his partnership with Andre than Lacroix probably will be about the situation he’s faced with.

“Personally, I couldn’t be more excited than to work again with Andre,” Ridley said in a statement. “He is an amazing individual, a true artist, and ‘All Is by My Side’ is one of the reasons I was given the reins on American Crime. Folks at ABC were absolutely moved by Andre’s performance in the film, and by the overall language of cinema we used in telling the story. It’s fair to say American Crime might not exist were it not for our previous collaboration.”

American Crime is nominated for a whopping 10 Emmy awards, so the great Andre 3000 might have his shot at one, too, if he delivers in his starring role. Regina King, a recurring star in season one, will return as Andre’s wife.
