Billboard is projecting that Drake’s album sales number could balloon to over 800,000 copies, which would smash his previous best–Nothing Was The Same sold 658,000 in its first week–by over 100,000. In addition to the traditional album sales mark, Drake’s streaming mark, which will certainly be significant considering the album was released first through Apple’s streaming service, then to iTunes several hours later, could push his equivalent album units figure to over 1 million, as reported by ChartNews.

Dwayne Carter Jr. aka “Lil Wayne” is suing Universal Music Group for royalties that total in the tens of millions that he states should be coming to him instead of the label. Wayne’s agreement is that he takes responsibility and is compensated for nurturing and building the careers of Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga and other artists, but his suit claims Universal Music Group is collecting all the royalties and excluding his agreed percentage which is to be paid to him.
The label paid 100 million in advance to Cash Money Records, Inc. Wayne’s, Young Money, label is a joint subsidiary venture with Universal that was created as a way to help him develop, establish and nurture new artists that he discovers. The profit split according to the agreement is supposed to be a percentage split of 51/49 between Universal and Cash Money based on a 2003 agreement. Universal states the claim is without merit [The Hollywood Reporter]. “Universal should be grateful and respectful to lil wayne for the millions of dollars in distribution fees and profits they have earned on the artists he brought to the company, instead of seizing all of his profits on those artists in a desperate attempt to recoup the tens of millions of dollars they are owed by Cash Money Records,” said Carter’s attorney Howard E. King of King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano in a Monday statement. Soundscan is also named as a defendant.

I had a talk with my Wife the other night because sometimes as a man you start feeling like you are not doing your manly duties. I spend so much time DREAM Chasing and I spend so much of OUR bread doing it that it’s important to check in with the wife to see if she is Good!!! My wife told me to finish what you started. She said work hard and leave a legacy for our kids. What really opened my eyes was the fact that she said our sacrifice might not even be for us but for our children. So many times we have dreams of making it and living the good life but did we ever think about maybe just maybe we have to give up our comfort to pave the way for our kids to live????? My mom did it for us and now we will do it for our kids. She told me to don’t worry about what other folks are doing just keep pushing and stay focused.
Thanks wifey. I will continue to squeeze the quarter until the eagle screams!!!!

Since recently ordering the assault of his bodyguard, Katt has remained behind bars, despite being granted bond.
Now this newest claim may add another ripple to his legal issues as Katt is accused of intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, battery, assault, false imprisonment and negligence.
This all reportedly happened at Katt’s house upon a Ms. Jamila Majesty’s arrival.
Her Story:
“This one was [female] wearing a short black mini dress with her head garment and was taking chocolate chip cookies out from the oven. Katt offered me cookies. I refused. Katt was smoking a Newport cigarette from the time I first arrived throughout.”
“Katt escorted me to a room that I’m assuming is the master bedroom…The room had a fire going and an older dark (probably Jamaican) woman inside the room sitting in the chair nearest the entry door. The television was on and there were hair dryers and tools for the hair spread out on the bed. She was Katt’s hairdresser, I do not remember her name”
“I sat on the bed sometimes too alone. There was a book on the bed that I opened for a glance and am assuming was a Wiccan book, something evil, with the teachings on sorcery and spells. The fire was fed with unusual things for a fire, I’m not sure what but my intuition picked up on it and the fire smelled of sweetness more so than a normal fire.”
“I was beat predominantly in my face until I fell to my knees and my blood was everywhere”
“I got in my car and that was right before 1:30am. I know the beating started at 10:30 pm. I was beat for three hours straight.
