According to TMZ, Nichole Anderson, and David Nelson, the couple in the viral video from last weekend seen painting over a Black Lives Matter mural in Martinez, CA, were recently charged with a hate crime for their actions. The couple is also facing charges that include violating civil rights and committing vandalism along with possession of tools to commit vandalism or graffiti.

The United States is the only country in the world known to sentence children to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Though the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that this sentence may only be imposed in the rarest of cases to people who are “irreparably corrupt,” Ohio still has people serving life who were sentenced as children. That could soon change because of pending legislation that would abolish life without parole as a sentencing option for children and grant parole eligibility to all children who are sentenced to extreme sentences in adult prison in the state.

Her complaint detailed allegations of insensitivity and sexism on set, while also making the claim that NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy “threatened Union through her agent” in regards to her speaking out against racism on set.

Read MoreA new Change.org petition started over the weekend soared close to 100,000 signatures, calling for Alabama leaders to rename an historic bridge currently named after a KKK grand wizard and Confederate soldier.
The petition – which you can view at www.change.org/RenameTheBridge – calls on Alabama Governor Kay Ivey to rename the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, the site of the Bloody Sunday beatings of civil rights marchers in 1965, after civil rights icon Congressman John Lewis (D-GA, 5th District). Rep. Lewis was one of the marchers on the bridge in 1965.
The petition, started by podcast host Michael Starr Hopkins, notes that Edmund Pettus was a “bitter racist” and that as the country reckons with a history of landmarks named after racist historical figures, the name of the bridge should be reconsidered. Starr Hopkins thinks the bridge should be renamed after Rep. Lewis since he was born in Troy, Alabama, and he marched in Selma has become a civil rights icon.

William “Roddie” Bryan, the man who recorded the video of Ahmaud Arbery‘s killing, is now the third suspect to be arrested for the young man’s murder.The Georgia Bureau of Investigation just announced the arrest, saying Bryan’s been hit with charges of felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment.
