Mayweather Fight Sold Out with tickets going From $4500 up to $90,000

Boxing’s biggest fight in years has reached Super Bowl-level prices in the resale market—and with the bout completely sold out, that’s the only market that exists anymore.
The average asking resale price for the May 2 bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao stood just short of $11,000 on Thursday, according to the secondary market ticket site TiqIQ. The mean price is $500 higher than this year’s Super Bowl and trumps any boxing match in the last five years.

The most expensive seat—a fifth-row ringside view—was priced at $77,500. The “get-in” price, or cheapest ticket to attend the event, hit nearly $4,500 on Thursday.

Dr. Dre Wins Against Death Row

According to Billboard, U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder ruled that Dr. Dre is entitled to be paid more royalities from the digital sales of his 1992 debut album than what he has been getting. The album can still be sold digitally, but Dre will now receive 100 percent of the monies from digital sales.

“For years, Death Row Records forgot about Dre when they continued to distribute his music digitally and combined his hits with weaker Death Row tracks in an attempt to elevate the stature of their other artists,” Dre’s lawyer Howard King wrote in a statement. “We are gratified that the federal court has unambiguously declared that Death Row has no right to engage in such tactics, and must hold all proceeds from these illicit distributions in trust for our client.”

Cle “Boan” Sloan Refuses to Testify Against Suge Knight

A key witness in the hit-and-run murder case against Marion “Suge” Knight told a Los Angeles judge on Monday he was reluctant to testify against the one-time rap music mogul, declining even to positively identify him in open court.

On the witness stand at the start of the hearing, Sloan, who described himself as a “non-active gang member,” balked at giving testimony that would incriminate the defendant.

“I will not be used to send Suge Knight to prison,” he said.

Asked by Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes if he could identify Knight as she pointed to him in the courtroom, Sloan said, “That doesn’t look like Mr. Knight.”

NASHVILLE (AP) — Rapper and reality TV star Nelly is facing felony drug charges after being arrested in Tennessee on Saturday.

Tennessee Highway Patrol said in a news release that Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Haynes, was pulled over about 9:20 a.m. because the bus he was riding in failed to display a U.S. Department of Transportation and International Fuel Tax Association sticker.

According to the release troopers smelled marijuana when they reached the bus.

When troopers searched the bus, they found five rocks that tested positive for meth, as well as a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Troopers also say they found numerous handguns.

The St. Louis native is facing charges including felony possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nelly, 40, was released from Putnam County Jail on a $10,000 bond. His next court date is June 19.

Kenya Moore Covers Kontrol Magazine

httpv://youtu.be/053bzggDHQw

What she’s been up to.

If you’ve had hair envy, Kenya is releasing her own hair care line on the interwebs, Moore Hair Care  just in time for Mother’s Day and will be in stores in August. With Kenya’s hair being very healthy, defines what healthy hair looks and feels like. “Healthy hair is hair that isn’t dry, damaged, split or frayed. A lot of women are not happy with their hair and they think the only option they have is to wear weave, wigs extensions or clip –ins. Healthy hair has movement and shine.”

Kenya’s thoughts on her portrayal this season.

“I feel this is one of the best seasons because it shows who I really am. I have people around that genuinely know and love me.”

Her feelings on Phaedra and Apollo.

“I definitely feel redeemed from the feud with Apollo and Phaedra.” This was quite evident with the airing of Sunday’s show with Kenya and Phaedra making amends and hopefully slowing working to build a better friendship. Only time will tell.

Many fans think of Kenya and Cynthia as an unlikely pair of friends.

“How so? We’re both models/beauty queens that love fashion, worked in New York, and know most of the same people.” Now that things have changed between Cynthia and Nene, it’s been a lot easier to develop a deeper friendship for Kenya. “You no longer have someone constantly telling you who to be friends with and to choose.”

Will NeNe ever write a check to Detroit Public Schools?

No, I don’t think so,” says Kenya, “People can see the type of person she is. “She used it to show the world how disgusting and evil she is. Why would you shortchange some kids because you want to be in a pissing contest with someone?”

Republicans are trying to ban Food Stamp recipients from buying Steak and Seafood

That story fit a longtime conservative suspicion that poor people use food stamps to purchase luxury items. Now, a Republican state lawmaker in Missouri is pushing for legislation that would stop people like Greenslate and severely limit what food stamp recipients can buy. The bill being proposed would ban the purchase with food stamps of “cookies, chips, energy drinks, soft drinks, seafood or steak.”

“The intention of the bill is to get the food stamp program back to it’s original intent, which is nutrition assistance,” said Rick Brattin, the representative who is sponsoring the proposed legislation.

Jay Z says “I Don’t Have a Record Deal”

A major question about Tidal has been the exclusive content that they will feature, especially with all of the major artists attached and so heavily involved. On whether or not people will be able to download or purchase said content, Jay revealed he wasn’t sure at this moment. His major reasoning was that downloads are decreasing based on their research and that they think people would rather just stream a song or album rather than download it or purchase.

Maybe the most interesting part of the discussion came with the topic of how labels would interact with Tidal and if they plan to cut any ties at all. Jay said that if an artist has a deal with a label then they of course can’t exclude the company, but he also noted that if an artist’s contract expires, they can work out a deal on their own with Tidal. As an example of this, Jay pointed to himself. “I’m on Tidal. I don’t have a record deal. So… yes.”

Kanye West and Dame Dash Sued over ‘Loisaidas’ Movie

“Loisaidas” is a Latin musical duo that’s been kicking around NYC since 2008. “Loisaidas” — a slang term for the Lower East Side — is also the name of a new movie executive produced by Kanye and Damon. Kanye and Damon just recently reunited after their days together at the old Roc-A-Fella Records, and they decided to collaborate on the movie. “Loisaidas” singer Michael Medina believes the movie tarnishes his brand because it promotes murder, violence, and drug sales. Medina wants a judge to halt the project and sock them with damages. (TM

LIL WAYNE PUTS HIS MIAMI BEACH MANSION ON THE MARKET FOR $18 MILLION

Lil Wayne has put his Miami Beach mansion on the market. The move comes just weeks after the home was the center of a media frenzy spurred by what turned out to be a fake 911 call claiming people had been shot in the home. Turns out it was a case of “swatting,” but Weezy has apparently decided to part with the home altogether.

Wayne bought the home — overlooking the water on exclusive La Gorce Isle — in 2011 for a reported $11.6 million. He’s now listed it for a cool $18 million, meaning he’s looking to net a profit just over $6 million. Of course, that doesn’t factor in any money spent to revamp the place.

The most notable addition Wayne made to the spread is a rooftop skate park, most likely the only such one in Miami Beach. The addition of a bowl and half-pipe became apparent when local news choppers broadcast the scene of the swatting incident. The features weren’t there when Tunechi, a skateboard enthusiast, bought the place.

Jay Z says Tidal Will Be The First Artist Owned Music/Ent Platform

We come together before you on this day, March 30 2015, with one voice in unity, in the hopes that today will be another one of those moments in time. A moment that will forever change the course of music history. For today, we announce the launch of Tidal, the first ever artist owned, global music and entertainment platform.

Our goal is simple. We want to create a better service and a better experience for both fans and artists. And that is our promise to the world. Our mission goes beyond commerce. It goes beyond technology. Our intent is to preserve music’s importance in our lives.

Music is the language of love, of laughter, of heartbreak, of mystery. It’s the world’s true, without question, universal language. There’s not a soul living that can deny its impact.

No matter who we are or where we’re from or what we listen to, music speaks to all of us. It inspires us. It makes our heart beat faster and body move in ways we didn’t even know it could move. Music brings us together. It connects us all, and it’s giving us experiences that last a lifetime…

Music is so powerful. That is what Tidal will be. It’s a place for connection between artists and fans where we will deliver exclusive experiences that will be found nowhere else. A destination where we will discover the music that will become the soundtrack to the rest of our lives.

We have joined in Tidal for the preservation of an industry, to deliver music and experiences in a way that is best for the consumer. That is why Tidal is dedicated to cultivating a sound business enterprise that promotes the health and sustainability of our art and our industry around the world.

We believe that it is in everyone’s interest – fans, artists, and the industry as a whole – to preserve the value of music and to insure a healthy and robust industry for years to come. Today is the day that we begin that journey together. All of us as one.

Jay Z Decides to Pay Instead of Paternity Test

Music mogul Jay Zwas rocked last month by claims that he secretly fathered a son 21 years ago. The alleged love child, Rymir Satterthwaite, dragged the rapper into court hoping to force a paternity test, but RadarOnline.com has learned the whole scandal could soon be nearing resolution. According to Satterthwaite’s guardian, a settlement could be on the horizon!

“Ultimately the case will probably be settled out of court,” Lillie Collie, Satterthwaite’s legal guardian, tells Radar exclusively.

“We’ve been going through this since 2011 and it has gotten to the point where the family just wants it to be over,” Collie adds.

T.I. Is NOT Worried about “BLURRED LINES” Lawsuit

“I know that I have never taken from anybody’s creative,” he told Access Hollywood ‘s Shaun Robinson while promoting his new film “Get Hard” in Los Angeles on Saturday. “I have never walked into the studio and used anybody else’s idea to contribute to mine. And I think that the universe and gods who look down on us all and have something to do with an outcome — that will exonerate me. I ain’t trippin’.”

I know Pharrell. I know how he works. I have seen him a thousand times go into his studio and never have I ever seen him sample anything ever. Never have I ever seen him do something where he intentionally maliciously said, ‘I’m going to take that and flip it.’ I’ve never seen him do it,” T.I. said. “Now I have seen other producers do it, I have. They ain’t in court though. I’ve never seen him do it.”

Walmart Settles for $10 million in Death of Comedian

James McNair was killed last June when friend and fellow comedian Tracy Morgan‘s tour bus collided with a Walmart truck on the New Jersey turnpike.

As E! News reported back in January, the 62-year-old funnyman’s family reached a settlement with Walmart. At the time, however, the exact amount which would be awarded to McNair’s children Jamel, 26, and Danita, 19, was confidential. Legal documents filed last month in Westchester’s Surrogate Court have revealed, per ABC News and DNA Info, there was a $10 million payout to McNair’s estate.

On Friday, a spokesperson for Walmart told E! News in a statement: “We cannot discuss the terms and conditions of the settlement, but we are glad to have reached an agreement. We deeply regret the loss of Mr. McNair as a result of the accident.  Walmart worked closely with his family to ensure their wellbeing. Walmart will continue to work to conclude all of the remaining issues and we’re committed to doing what’s right.”

Drake had Sex w/ Lil Wayne’s Girlfriend while he was in Prison

Lil’ Wayne is reportedly writing a tell-all book and revealing that Drake once betrayed him. TMZ reports that Weezy is shopping around a book proposal to different publishers. In the proposal, the Young Money general claims that Drake slept with his then girlfriend while he was serving time on Rikers Island in New York. Wayne says that Drake visited him and told him “Yeah, it’s true. Don’t f–k with her like that cause I did f–k her.”

After hearing that his girlfriend smashed the homie, Wayne writes that he was distraught.

“This is the type of s–t that a man never wants to find out when he’s locked up. Or, maybe so, cause only God knows what I would have done if I wasn’t locked up right now…”I woke up feeling f—d up about the f—d  up day that I had … finding out that she f—d Drake was the absolute worst thing I could’ve ever found out…”As a man, honestly, that s–t hurt … and not because it was Drake, it could have been any man. It would’ve hurt the same.”

Wayne writes that his girlfriend said she slept with Drake the day before she met him. He said that he was so depressed that he could not leave his cell for days.

Taraji says NO to the ‘N-Word’ on EMPIRE while Terrence Howard wants to use it!

(CNN)Terrence Howard would like a little bit more reality on his hit show “Empire.”

The actor, who plays hip-hop recording mogul Lucious Lyon on the series, recently told Entertainment Weekly that’s he’s “mad that we don’t say n****r in the show.”

“Why is TV showing something different from the reality of the world?” Howard asked. “Why is there a thing called censorship that stop people from hearing everyday talk? We use n***** every day. It’s become part of a conversation. Why aren’t we using it in the show?”

Jermaine Dupri Claims Ciara’s “I BET” is Same as Usher’s “U Got It Bad”

Jermaine Dupri is claiming that Ciara’s  her new single “I Bet” sounds similar to Usher’s “U Got It Bad.” He also says the song has the same tone as Tamia’s “Still,” a song he produced on her 2004 album, “More.”

“Ciara’s new single is a complete rip-off of Usher’s ‘U Got It Bad,'” he said. “I’m clear on what I made and I’m clear on how music influences people, and I’m clear on chord changes and how people move things. … It might not be as evident as the ‘Blurred Lines’ situation, but I believe the same thing happened to me.”

He says he, Usher and Bryan Michael Cox heard the similarities and plan to contact Ciara to make sure they were properly credited on the song.

“I Bet” is currently climbing up the Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop chart at #27. The singer released a simplistic video to the track last week.

Lil Wayne Originally Thought Drake “Sucked”

Jas Prince shares that when he initially played Drake’s music for Wayne, Weezy made it clear that he wasn’t a fan.

“Wayne told me he sucked. He was like, ‘Jas, don’t play me that sh*t no more. He’s not good.”

Prince was consistent, however, and continued to keep Drake on Wayne’s radar, helping him out by taking tracks he knew Wayne would like and sending them to Drake to spit over. Eventually, while riding around Houston with Jas, Wayne came around.
