Ohio State Blows Out Wisconsin for Statement Win in Big Ten Title Game

Ohio State made its case for a spot on the College Football Playoff in impressive fashion on Saturday, rolling over Wisconsin, 59-0, in the Big Ten Championship game in front of 60,229 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Buckeyes (12-1), who are ranked No. 5 in the playoff poll, scored less than two minutes into the game and never looked back. They punted only twice in the first half — one was a Big Ten title game record 73-yarder — and scored every way imaginable.

Sophomore quarterback Cardale Jones, starting for the first time in place of the injured J.T. Barrett, finished with three touchdown passes and was 12-for-17 for 257 yards. His three scores all went to senior Devin Smith, who had four catches for 137 yards while sophomore running back Ezekiel Elliott ran for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Rabbis Arrested In NYC Protest

Several prominent rabbis and the president of a national teachers union were arrested Thursday night while protesting police brutality.
Rabbis Sharon Kleinbaum, Jill Jacobs, and Shai Held, along with Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of Teachers, were taken into custody for blocking traffic to protest a grand jury’s decision not to indict the New York police officer who choked Staten Island resident Eric Garner to death. The protests, held on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, were organized by the organization Jews for Racial and Economic Justice.
Kleinbaum is the longtime rabbi at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah, the country’s largest LGBT synagogue, and is also Weingarten’s partner. Directly before the protest, she was honored by JFREF with a Marshall T. Meyer Risk Taker Award at nearby Congregation B’nai Jeshurun.
Attendees at the ceremony read the names of more than 20 black males who had been killed by New York police, followed by the phrase, “I am responsible.” They then marched to the nearby intersection at 96th and Broadway — blocking traffic and holding protest signs.

Bill Cosby Extortion

Bill Cosby is lashing out at the woman who claims he got her drunk and then sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974 … saying she’s a liar who tried extorting him and raising the price as new women came forward.

Cosby just filed legal docs — obtained by TMZ — in which he says Judy Huth’s lawyer approached his attorney, Marty Singer, last month and made “ominous references to criminal penalties.” The docs say Huth’s lawyer demanded $100K for silence, and later increased the demand to $250K as more women came forward.

In the new docs, Cosby notes the woman — who is now 56 years old — tried to sell the story to the tabloids around 10 years ago but no one bit. So the comedian says it’s total BS that she would now say she had a repressed memory, which would allow her to file a civil lawsuit. In other words, she’d have to file suit within 3 years of the time she remembered, but she supposedly remembered a decade ago.

The docs say her story falls apart because she claims she and Cosby played a “drinking game” 40 years ago … yet Cosby is “a life-long non-drinker.”

The docs also say Huth’s lawyer was sketchy when he tried squeezing money out of Cosby, not even knowing if Huth went to a therapist.

Cosby is demanding that the lawsuit get dismissed, and he wants monetary sanctions as well.

Bill Cosby thanks Whoopi Goldberg and Jill Scott for Defending Him Amid Rape Allegations by Chris Witherspoon

Last month, Goldberg came to Cosby’s defense during a heated debate with her co-hosts on The View, saying she had “a lot of questions” about the rape claims and would “reserve judgement.”

“Perhaps the police might have believed it. Or the hospital. Don’t you do a kit when you say someone has raped you?” she asked. “Don’t the cops take you into a hospital for a kit?”

IMG_3990.JPG

Monday, Scott got into it with a few of her nearly one million followers about whether or not folks are condemning Cosby too quickly.

One of her followers suggested Scott didn’t understand how to use her platform on social media and that the singer’s support of Cosby was proof she was misinformed.

Ray Rice Wins Appeal

IMG_3890.JPG

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has won his appeal of an indefinite suspension and has been reinstated to the NFL.

Rice is now eligible to sign with any NFL team.
Running back Ray Rice is eligible to sign with any NFL team after winning an appeal of his indefinite suspension.
An NFL spokesman, when asked by ESPN’s Andrew Brandt if the league would pursue any further action against Rice, said: “We, of course, accept the ruling as binding.”

Rice was suspended indefinitely Sept. 8 for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy after a video of him hitting his then-fiancée was released publicly. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell originally had suspended the running back for two games.

A source who has read the decision told ESPN investigative reporter Don Van Natta Jr. that U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones, who heard Rice’s appeal earlier this month, concluded Rice did not lie or mislead the NFL.

Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome testified under oath Nov. 6 in the appeal hearing that he heard the former Baltimore running back tell Goodell during his June 16 disciplinary hearing that he had hit his then-fiancée in a casino hotel elevator, sources told “Outside the Lines.”

Rice also testified, as did his wife, Janay. Details of what Rice and his wife testified to Nov. 6 and what Goodell said Nov. 5 were not released to ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” because of a gag order that Jones imposed. But sources said Newsome backed Rice’s previous accounts of what he told Goodell. Goodell spent the majority of his time testifying under cross-examination by outside union attorney Jeffrey Kessler, sources said.

Rice, 27, is a three-time Pro Bowler and helped the Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII. He rushed for 6,180 yards and 37 touchdowns in six seasons with Baltimore.

Ravens receiver Torrey Smith tweeted his support of his former teammate.

EX-NBC EMPLOYEE SAYS HE HELPED PAY OFF BILL COSBY’S VICTIMS

IMG_3810.JPG

As women continue to come forward with allegations that the comedian/actor raped them, one former NBC employee now claims to have aided in his supposed womanization. Frank Scotti, who worked as facilities manager for the network, sat down with the NY Daily News and claimed that he helped Cosby pay women off with $2,000 monthly payments “all over the United States and Europe.”

Working with Cosby during his The Cosby Show run from 1984-92, Scotti described standing guard at Cosby’s dressing room while he entertained women. Stating that he had never seen any abuse actually take place, Scotti admits that he was “suspicious.” He also remarked that he decided to come forward after decades because “felt sorry for the women.” Scotti also said that Cosby had an arrangement with a modeling agency to “deliver” women to his dressing room, some as young as 16 years old.
